Question: We just had our 2 living rooms repainted. The colors are OK but one room looks too shiny because of the lighting. The paint is a Behr satin latex in a bright yellow. Is there anything that can be done to make it less shiny other than painting over it? Are some types of lights/bulbs better in this situation than others?
Answer: Soft light light bulbs might do the trick try the pastel blue bulbs as a rule of thumb blue helps cancel out yellow so using blue fabrics or trimming in blue might help too.
