MS-DOS Shell?

Question: I have a Microsoft virtual pc running with MS-DOS in it and I saw the blue type of screen in wikipedia and saw it was the MS-DOS shell. I know it's really old,but I want to get into the MS-DOS shell. I just want to see the MS-DOS shell. And is it MicroSoft Disk Operating System or MicroSoft Dirty Operating System? Thanks for trying I tried "doshell.exe" without the quotes and nada anything else Its MS-DOS 6.22

Answer: The Microsoft Dos Shell was in MS-DOS 5.0. before Ms-Dos 6.22 came out. On the older systems like the 8088 and others in that range when you booted your computer up it automatically took you to the actual dos shell which showed you the complete file structure of the drive. if you want to see it then scout around for an 8088 computer system which would run at about 8MHz and just load dos 5.0 in it and you get to see the actual shell.
