I wanted to make an international order at Abercrombie, but they told me I needed a bank statement. Why?

Answer: They should not be asking for personal information like that. Are you putting your transaction on a major credit card? or are you writing a check, or what? They can ask for ID, and even multiple forms of ID if you are writing a check...otherwise, I can't imagine why they would even ask for that...I don't think they can, and I certainly would not provide it. Check with a higher up management at Abercrombie...contact them and find out what their policy is, and ask if it is normal procedure to request a bank statement.
